2 TIMOTHY 2:1-2
WHY COLLEGE STUDENTS?
WHO WE ARE
Our vision is simple. We want to follow Jesus in making disciples of Waco college students and equipping them to be disciple-makers on their campus and around the world. In other words: we want to be disciples, make disciples, and make disciple-makers.
There are about 27,000 college students in Waco, Texas. The vast majority of whom do not know Jesus. We want to reach students and send them to reach others until every student in Waco has had the opportunity to be transformed by the love of Jesus!
If you want to reach the world, reach the campus. Don't underestimate the power of a college student. Throughout history, God has started movements through this age group.
But they're also the most unchurched age group in the U.S. No one is more desperate for community, purpose, and an authentic relationship with Jesus.
College ministry is the church's premiere opportunity to impact someone here and now and then send them out to change the world!
We like to call ourselves a "Family on Mission." What we mean is that we are devoted to each other and devoted to making disciples.
Being a family means we want to be a people you can belong to. You don't have to be perfect or even close to perfect. We want to be a home for everyone. That's why you'll see a big banner as you walk in that says, "Welcome Home."
Being on mission means we aren't some ordinary group of people. The local church is God's plan to reach the world. There isn't a better group to be a part of!
